m-i (Message-I) — messaging app with m-say and m-clip. Effective 31 October 2026. Data controller: Levent Yenilmez (i-shim), contact info@i-shim.com. See also the Terms of Use and Help.
This policy applies to the m-i mobile application (the “App”): one-to-one and group chats; sharing of photos, videos, voice messages, files and locations; m-say, a feed of short public posts; and m-clip, a feed of short public videos and photos. The App runs on its own Google Firebase project (“mi-start”). It is separate from our business app i-shim: your m-i data is not used for i-shim or any other app.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads — the App contains no advertising SDK. We do not use your messages, posts, clips, photos or contacts to train AI models. We do not scan your gallery or track your location in the background. There are no in-app purchases in this App.
Your data is processed only by the providers needed to run the App: Google Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication including the SMS verification code, database, file storage, cloud functions, push notifications — Google LLC) and Apple / Google (app distribution and push delivery). Anything you send in a chat is shared with the people you send it to; anything you post on m-say or m-clip is visible to signed-in m-i users. When you use “Share”, the text you share goes to the app you pick.
The database runs in Google Cloud’s europe-west1 (Belgium) region; uploaded files (chat photos, voice messages, documents, profile photos, m-say photos and m-clip videos and photos) are stored in the us-central1 (USA) region. Using the App therefore involves transferring personal data abroad, to Google’s infrastructure in the EU and the US, under Google’s data processing terms.
Until October 2026 m-i ran on the same Firebase project as i-shim. When m-i moved to its own project, the accounts and chat history of existing m-i users were copied to it. So that copied conversations stay readable, the other participant’s display name and profile photo were copied with them. Nothing else about those participants was copied.
All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access is restricted by server-side security rules, so a user can only read the conversations they take part in (m-say posts, m-clip clips, their comments and profiles are the exception: they are public to signed-in users by design). You can report any post, clip, comment or person and block anyone; reports reach us and are reviewed within 24 hours. You can additionally lock the App’s chats with biometrics or a PIN. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: they are encrypted in transit and at rest on Google’s infrastructure and are technically accessible to us as the service operator.
In the app: Settings → Hesabımı Sil (Delete my account), confirm twice. Our server then deletes your account, your profile, your notifications and other account records, your m-say posts, replies, reposts, likes, saved posts, Lists and drafts, your m-clip clips with their likes and comments, your likes and comments on other people’s clips, your follows in both directions, your uploaded contact records, your profile photo and the photos and videos of your m-say, m-clip, wall and status posts, the photos of groups you created that have no other members left, and finally your sign-in account; the App also clears the messages stored on your device.
A single m-say post, clip or comment can be deleted at any time from its ⋯ menu; it disappears for everyone, together with its likes and comments.
By e-mail (no app needed): write to info@i-shim.com from your account’s phone number or e-mail, with the subject “Account deletion request — m-i”. We action verified requests within 30 days and confirm.
Messages, photos and files you already sent in chats remain in the recipient’s copy of the conversation — as with e-mail, we cannot remove a message from someone else’s account. Backups roll off within 90 days. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.
Under GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and request a copy of your data. Write to info@i-shim.com; we respond within 30 days.
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the effective date above, and notify users in the App where appropriate.

Yapmadıklarımız: verilerinizi satmıyoruz; reklam göstermiyoruz; mesaj, paylaşım, klip, fotoğraf ve rehberinizi yapay zekâ eğitiminde kullanmıyoruz; galerinizi taramıyor, konumunuzu arka planda izlemiyoruz; uygulama içi satın alma yoktur.
Hizmet sağlayıcılar: Google Firebase / Google Cloud (kimlik doğrulama ve SMS doğrulama kodu, veritabanı, dosya depolama, bulut fonksiyonları, bildirim) ve Apple / Google (dağıtım ve bildirim).
Verilerin bulunduğu yer ve yurt dışına aktarım: veritabanı Google Cloud'un europe-west1 (Belçika) bölgesinde; yüklediğiniz dosyalar (sohbet ekleri, profil fotoğrafı, m-say fotoğrafları, m-clip video ve fotoğrafları) us-central1 (ABD) bölgesinde saklanır. Uygulamayı kullanmak kişisel verilerin yurt dışına (Google'ın AB ve ABD altyapısına) aktarılmasını içerir.
Kendi altyapımıza geçiş: Ekim 2026'ya kadar m-i, i-shim ile aynı Firebase projesinde çalışıyordu. Kendi projesine geçerken mevcut m-i kullanıcılarının hesapları ve sohbet geçmişleri yeni projeye kopyalandı; kopyalanan sohbetler okunabilsin diye karşı tarafın yalnız görünen adı ve profil fotoğrafı da kopyalandı.
Güvenlik: trafik aktarımda şifrelenir (TLS); sunucu kuralları sayesinde bir kullanıcı yalnız taraf olduğu sohbetleri okuyabilir. Her paylaşım, klip, yorum ve kişi şikâyet edilebilir, her kişi engellenebilir; şikâyetler bize ulaşır ve 24 saat içinde incelenir. Mesajlar uçtan uca şifreli değildir.
Hesap ve veri silme: uygulamada Ayarlar → Hesabımı Sil, iki kez onaylayın. Sunucumuz hesabınızı, profilinizi, bildirimlerinizi ve diğer hesap kayıtlarınızı; m-say paylaşımlarınızı, yanıtlarınızı, yeniden paylaşımlarınızı, beğenilerinizi, kaydettiklerinizi, Listelerinizi ve taslaklarınızı; m-clip kliplerinizi beğeni ve yorumlarıyla, başkalarının kliplerindeki beğeni ve yorumlarınızı; iki yöndeki takip kayıtlarınızı; yüklediğiniz rehber kayıtlarını, profil fotoğrafınızı ve m-say, m-clip, duvar ve durum paylaşımlarınızın fotoğraf ve videolarını, kurduğunuz ve başka üyesi kalmamış grupların fotoğrafını ve en son giriş hesabınızı siler; uygulama da cihazınızdaki mesajları temizler. Tek bir paylaşımı, klibi ya da yorumu ⋯ menüsünden istediğiniz an silebilirsiniz; herkes için kaybolur. Uygulamaya erişemiyorsanız info@i-shim.com adresine “Hesap silme talebi — m-i” konusuyla yazın; 30 gün içinde uygular ve teyit ederiz. Sohbetlerde daha önce gönderdiğiniz mesajlar, fotoğraflar ve dosyalar alıcının kopyasında kalır. Yedekler 90 gün içinde döngüden çıkar.
Haklarınız (KVKK / GDPR): erişme, düzeltme, silme, itiraz ve veri kopyası isteme hakkınız vardır — info@i-shim.com, 30 gün içinde yanıtlarız.
Çocuklar: uygulama 18 yaş ve üzeri içindir.
